Getting Started

Welcome to ScrollPlay! This browser extension allows you to scroll through web pages hands-free with customizable speed and direction controls.

Installation

  1. Install ScrollPlay from the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons store
  2. Once installed, the extension icon will appear in your browser toolbar
  3. Click the icon or use keyboard shortcuts to start scrolling

Keyboard Shortcuts

ScrollPlay supports the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Alt/Option + S: Start or stop scrolling
  • Alt/Option + ↑: Increase scroll speed
  • Alt/Option + ↓: Decrease scroll speed
  • Alt/Option + Shift + S: Open ScrollPlay popup/settings
  • Space: Stop scrolling (when active)

Note: On Mac, use the Option key instead of Alt.

Troubleshooting

Scrolling Not Working

Keyboard Shortcuts Not Working

  • Check if other extensions are using the same keyboard shortcuts
  • On Mac, ensure you're using the Option key, not Alt
  • Try restarting your browser
  • Check browser settings for keyboard shortcut conflicts

Settings Not Saving

  • Clear your browser's extension storage and try again
  • Check if your browser allows local storage
  • Try uninstalling and reinstalling the extension
